Transport Aircraft
C - 130:

Lockeed C-130 Hercules is a medium/long range combat transport aircraft. It entered service with the PAF in 1963 with 14 aircraft, out of which 8 remain still in service. It can carry a payload of about 35000 lbs or can carry 92 troops or 64  paratroops. Versatile and flexible, it is capable ofoperating from short and unprepared runways. It serves with No. 6 squardon and No. 3 Squardon (Transport Conversion School, Chaklala).

BOEING 707:

The 3 Boeing 707s were transfered from PIA in 1987 and serve with No. 12 VVIP squardon. One is used for VIP movement and the others for cargo-carrying duties.

FOKKER:

The plane serves with No. 12 VIP squardon and is used to carry personnel from one place to another. The plane has been in service since 1965.

FALCON - 20:

A single Falcon-20 aircraft serves with No. 12 VIP squardon and two Falcon-20Fs and 2 Falcon 20-Gs serve with No. 24 squardon for EW (Electronic warfare) duties.

CESSNA - 172:

The five Cessna-172s are used for liaison, communication, light transport duties. They serve with No. 41 squardon.

AERO-COMMANDER:

The type was introduced in 1966 and is used for light transport and communication duties. It serves with No. 41 squardon.

BEECH TRAVEL AIR/BEECHCRAFT:

The two aircraft serve with No. 41 squardon and are used for liaison, communication duties.

ALOUETTE III:

The 12 Alouette III helicopters (introduced in 1967) are divided in six search-and-resuce squardons ( 81 to 86 )which are located at six different bases namely :

     PAF Masroor
     PAF Sargodha
     PAF Peshawar
     PAF Samungali
     PAF Mianwali
     PAF Shorkot
